Do we need to set up a 1m² platform at the required level before running the machine, or can we create a platform without checking the level and let the machine adjust itself after covering 2–3m²?
It is recommended to create a 1m² platform at the required level before running the machine. While experienced users may allow the machine to adjust itself over a small area, marking the laser level on the walls of each room is crucial. This ensures that the machine operates consistently at the correct level.
How should I clean the machine after using cement screed, especially the green transport belt? Can I use water to clean it?
Yes, you can clean the green transport belts with water. However, after washing, ensure you blow them out with compressed air to remove any residual moisture. The air pressure should not exceed 0.2 MPa (2 atm) to avoid damaging the belts.
After work, I found small stones (aggregates) stuck inside the green transport belt, causing dents. Is this normal?
Yes, it is normal for small stones to get stuck under the green transport belts. To prevent damage and ensure smooth operation, clean the belts thoroughly after each use. Neglecting regular cleaning may result in uneven belts, which can affect screed flatness. The belts are durable, and removing stones will not cause long-term issues if maintained properly.
I bought a used machine but cannot operate it properly. Can I visit your factory for maintenance or part replacement?
Yes, you are welcome to visit our factory for a service inspection of your machine. We can perform maintenance and replace any necessary parts.
How can I avoid hollow sounds in the screed floor? Does this machine guarantee no hollow sounds after drying?
Floor Master machines are designed to minimize issues like hollow sounds by ensuring proper compaction of cement-sand or concrete subfloors. The specially designed head ensures optimal reinforcement distribution and compaction of half-dry mixtures for enhanced durability. To further reduce hollow sounds, it is recommended to use a power float for smoothing and leveling after screeding.
I saw contractors using a power float machine to compact floors. Will this affect floor flatness?
Power float machines do not compact the floor; they are used to smooth and level the surface for a better finish. They enhance appearance but do not impact compaction.
How can I ensure that the troweling plate and mashing plate are correctly set? Are there any measurements for reassembly during maintenance?
The front troweling plate should be adjusted 2–3 mm higher than the back plate (adjustments depend on aggregate grain size). Detailed instructions for replacing and adjusting plates are provided in the user manual.
Can you provide training on how to operate the machine?
Absolutely! We offer training sessions at our factory or online if visiting us is not possible. We also share a series of videos that explain how to use machine or fix most common issues.
Why does the surface created by the machine appear wavy?
A wavy surface can occur if the troweling plate is either new or excessively worn. Over time, this effect diminishes as the plate wears evenly. Additionally, material properties can influence surface texture. Any minor waves can be smoothed out easily using a power float.
Can this machine work with mortar or concrete containing metal or plastic fiber reinforcements?
Yes, it can work with glass fiber mortar as well as metal and plastic fibers. However, these materials may accelerate wear on troweling discs and transport belts. For such cases, we recommend sending specifications for an individual assessment.
What if there is no electric power available at my job site? Can I use an electric generator to power the Clapa machine?
We do not recommend using electric generators due to potential voltage instability, which may damage the machine. As an alternative, we offer battery-powered machines.
Can I use an aku-type (battery-powered) machine while charging its battery with a cable?
No, it is not possible to operate the aku-type machine while charging its battery. The battery must be disconnected from the machine during charging.
